We are currently in the construction process of additions and updates to a period mid 60’s A-frame near Lake Tahoe’s western shore. The house needs expansion to continue serving our client’s growing multi-generational family, and augmentation to withstand wildfire risks.
A rear bedroom addition intersects the original house at the rear northside, allowing the old “A” to be prominent and the new “a” to be big enough. A detached one-car garage/storage shed brackets an entry path to a new sheltered southside entry. The slightly recessed path is protected from falling and sliding snow by a broad garage eave, and a raised retention bed beneath the steep A-frame eave.
